DESCRIPTION:
xxxx Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, 6 speed manual, 600 HP, < 49K miles, extensively modified: turbochargers, intercoolers, headers, exhaust, BOV, CAI, flywheel, clutch, shifter, carbon fiber hood, suspension, wheels, turbo boost controller. Dynod 480 AWHP (about 600 HP assuming 20% drivetrain loss (AWD)). **ATTENTION**: A bearing is apparently going out on the main shaft of the transaxle - $xxxx-$xxxx (mostly labor) to repair according to Reid Vann, the shop Ive been taking the car (www.reidvann.com). Please call them and ask for Brian if you have any questions - my name is Dennis Paul, theyre familiar with my car. I noticed an unusual noise while driving, had no clue it was the transmission, as the car shifts perfectly fine (Reid Vann will confirm this). I had been asking 39,900 for the car prior to this, have now lowered my asking price by 5,400. If youre capable of doing the transmission work yourself, youll be getting a good deal. Now that thats out of the way -- Car was owned and modded by Race Precision Inc (RPI) - this is the Nevada title in the CarFax. RPI is primarily a bimmer shop, but they do offer an exhaust for the 911. I suspect they used the car as a test mule for this product or perhaps for other products they planned to market but never followed through on. I purchased the car one year ago on ebay and am only selling now because my wife got pregnant a month and half after I bought it and I now have 2 month old in addition to a 2 year old. The tune is a custom RPI tune using ESS software. My understanding is that the exhaust and intercoolers are custom RPI units. To the best of my knowledge the turbochargers are K16/26 UMW "zero clearance" units and I believe the car has EVOM headers. The car also has H&R lowering springs, aftermarket wheels (HRE), a carbon fiber hood, and - again, to best of my knowledge - a lightweight flywheel and Sachs clutch. Not sure about the wheel sizes, front wheels are probably stock dimensions since the front tires are, rear wheels may be wider than stock (car is running 315s in the back, stock is 295). The car has a Blitz turbo boost controller/timer that allows the engine to continue running after you turn off the ignition and remove the key. This gives the turbos a chance to cool down more gradually after being under boost. Windows are tinted ad theres a 3M clear bra on the front This is badass race car, not a garage queen, so there are a few caveats (besides the transmission) - the button on emergency/parking brake is missing (the emergency brake works fine). I have both keys, but the key fob electronics dont work - must lock/unlock doors by inserting key. RPI had the car in Southern California for some time, so theres some corrosion on underside of car due from the ocean air. Theres a 6-8" tear on the left plastic undercarriage panel (there are two flat panels below the front half of the car to improve aerodynamics). Passenger rear wheel has some curb rash and there is some mild discoloration on the stainless steel portion of the wheels. There is a thin one inch scratch on the drivers door. If the drivers seat is moved all the way forward, it triggers a short in the electronics and prevents the seat from moving. Im tall and never have any need to move it more than an 2 or 3 inches from the rearmost position, so its not an issue for me. $185 to repair (mostly labor to take out the seat and put it back in). I have no documentation on the mods, but the car could not be making the horsepower it is without the larger intercoolers, turbos, etc. Reid Vann can confirm the H&R suspension at least, as they did some work on it for me. The oil was last changed a month ago (May 2nd) NOTE: in previous listings I indicated that the headlight washer nozzles/covers were missing. These have been replaced now. See the picture of the front of the car. Right-side marker lights, license plate lights were checked when I had the oil changed, theyre working now. If youre wondering about the dyno graph, the technician was unable to get the engine speed sensor hooked up due to the tight engine bay compar
